Brahmi Chutney


Brahmi Leaves-250 gms
Chana dal-1 tbsp
Red Chillies-3
Garlic Cloves-3
Tamarind -small size
Coriander leaves-5 sprigs
Mustard-1/2 tsp
Urad dal-1/2 tsp
Hing-1 pinch

Preparation method

  1. Heat oil in a  pan, add mustard,urad dal, curry leaves
  2. Once they spluttered,add chana dal, garlic and shallots and saute it
  3. Add red chillies, tamarind and brahmi leaves and cook for few mins.
  4. Add coconut pieces and coriander leaves and saute it.
  5. Add the mixture to a blender and make a fine paste
  6. Add tadka to it while serving.
  7. Serve it with idli or dosa/roti.
