Orange Rice

Orange rice is simple but very tasty meal.it is a delicious dish you can put together very easily.you can prepare with leftover rice too.Rich in vitamin C .it is similar to lemon rice,but the orange flavor and the aroma of spices leads to say hmmm… Wow!


Ingredients

Orange-3 medium

Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp

Asfoedieta-3 pinch

Salt to taste

Oil

For the Tempering / Tadka:

Mustard seeds-1/2tsp

Urda dal-1/2 tsp

Chana dal-1/2 tsp

Peanut-1/2 tsp

Red chillies-4

Curry leaves


Preparation method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan add tempering spices.
  2. When they splutter, add the orange juice, hing, turmeric powder and salt.
  3. When it boils add sesame oil and the cooked rice, mix it well
  4. Serve it hot with the papads.
