Gram flour-1/2 cup

Plantain stem-250gms

Onion-250 grams

Green chillies-4

Curry leaves-3 sprig

Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp

Hing-1/4 tsp

Ginger chopped-2tsp

Salt to taste


Preparation method:

Peel and clean the stem, chop into small pieces. Boil it with turmeric and salt.

Take a large mixing bowl, add soaked chana dal,fennel seeds, cumin seeds, boiled stem pieces and crush it don’t grind it.

Add green chillies, ginger pieces, curry leaves, chopped onions, turmeric, hing, salt to the flour.

Heat the oilfFor the deep frying in a thick-bottomed flat pan on a medium flame.

Take small portions and drop into the oil and deep fry it.

Add few at times and cook in a medium flame till it turns to golden brown.

Serve it hot with coconut chutney or chilli sauce.
