Plantain Stir Fry


Raw Plantain-2

Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp

Urad dal-1/2 tsp

Curry leaves-1 spring

Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp

Red chillies-2

Sambar powder-1/2 tsp

Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp

Hing-1/4 tsp

Salt to taste


Preparation method:

  1. Peel the plantains and cut into small cubes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, urad dal, red chillies, curry leaves and cumin seeds.
  3. Once they splutter add the plantain cubes, sambar powder, turmeric, salt and hing.
  4. Stir it well, sprinkle water cover it and cook for 10 mins in medium flame.
  5. Serve it hot with rice or roti.
