Ground paste mixed with the yogurt.Cucumber cubes cooked in these mixture for few mins.The tempering and coocnut oil gives richness to its texture and taste.

Sour Yogurt – 500gms
Salt to taste

Coconut paste

Garlic cloves-2
Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp

For the tadka/tempering

Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds-1/4 tsp
Curry leaves-2 spring
Fenugreek-1 pinch(optional)
Green chillies-4
Red chillies-4
Coconut oil

Preparation method:

  1. Peel the cucumber and cut into cubes.
  2. Heat a pan, add cucumber cubes, water, turmeric, chilli powder, salt and cook it in a medium heat.
  3. Prepare the coconut paste with cumin and garlic cloves using blender.
  4. Add it to the curd (pouring cocnsistency), mix it well.
  5. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, cumin, red chillies, green chillies, onions and curry leaves
  6. Add the boiled cucumber and saute it.
  7. Add the coconut, yogurt mixture and stir it well.
  8. Add the salt and mix it well.
  9. Allow to boil it in a low flame for 3 mins and switch off the flame.
  10. Serve it with hot rice and papad.
