Mixed vegetables – 500 gms

Plain flour-200gms


Bread crumbs-200gms


Smashed potato-300gms

Chilli powder-2 tsp

Turmeric-1/2 tsp

Salt to tatse

Oil to fry


For the Saute:


Onions-2 medium

Green chillies-2

Garlic cloves-4

Ginger thumb size-1


For the tempering:

Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp

Urad dal-1/2 tsp

Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp

Curry leaves

Preparation method:


  1. Boil the vegetables with turmeric and salt.
  2. Filter it and crush it like a grated Vegtables.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add tempering spices.
  4. Once they splutter, add chopped onions, green chillies, chopped garlic, chopped ginger and sauté it.
  5. Add the grated vegetables, turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt.
  6. Cook For the few mins in medium flame.
  7. Remove it and make it cool.
  8. Add chopped coriander leaves and smashed potato, grated cheese(optional) and mix it well
  9. Make balls and press it in cutlet shape.
  10. Roll the cutlets in plain flour, dip into egg, roll in the breadcrumbs.
  11. Heat oil in a pan, place the cutlet few at a time and fry it till it turns to golden brown
  12. serve it hot.
