Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
Urad dal-1/2 tsp
Curry leaves-1 spring
Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
- Peel the yam and cut into cubes, add turmeric powder and salt.
- Pressure cook the yam for 3 whistles, filter it and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, urad dal, red chillies, curry leaves and cumin seeds.
- Once they splutter add the boiled yam cubes, turmeric powder, salt and hing.
- Toss it and fry it well for 10 min.
- Serve it hot with rice or roti.
