Yam Stir Fry

Sena stir fry


Yam-250 gms

Mustard seeds-1/2 tsp

Urad dal-1/2 tsp

Curry leaves-1 spring

Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp

Red chillies-2

Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp

Hing-1/4 tsp

Salt to taste


Preparation method:

  1. Peel the yam and cut into cubes, add turmeric powder and salt.
  2. Pressure cook the yam for 3 whistles, filter it and keep it aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard, urad dal, red chillies, curry leaves and cumin seeds.
  4. Once they splutter add the boiled yam cubes, turmeric powder, salt and hing.
  5. Toss it and fry it well for 10 min.
  6. Serve it hot with rice or roti.
